Comments
Due to an increasing number of “spam” comments, I have decided to no longer allow comments on my blog, with only an occasional exception. The number of “spam” comments had increased to over 100 per day, and although I could remove these from my blog, that required daily action on my part, a task that took more than just four or five minutes. I am almost certain that the large majority of these “spam” comments are nothing but advertisements, often for pornography, and that most of them are sent out by automatic software. I can not accept that trash. But I can not get rid of them “automatically”, but must instead remove them manually. And that is a burden I will no longer accept.
To my friends and relatives who might wish to comment, nearly all of you have my email address, so you can always send me an email. On the other hand, every once in a great while I may post something to which one can add a comment. However, if that post subsequently attracts spam, then I will remove the ability to comment on that post.
